School Tours Tours The farm is a wonderful place where kids and adults will learn many fascinating things, and experience a link to the past. Each tour includes a hayride to the pioneer cabin, where students will learn how a farmer might have lived 100 years ago, without the modern conveniences we are used to. The first stop is the Sprague Schoolhouse, a 150 year old one room school, where children see what it might have been like to be in school, back in the old days. The next stop is the animal park. Students will meet Fred the emu, turkeys, chickens, llama, goats, pigs, peacocks, rabbits, horses and Santa's reindeer. Our last stop is at the Pioneer Cabin, where students will learn what life was like in the early 1900's and participate in a live washing demonstration. In the autumn, the tour can make a stop at the school pumpkin patch. School pumpkins are $1.00. The winter tour of the farm includes a visit to the wreath making shop, where children will make a wreath to take back to their classroom. In the spring, the tour of the farm includes a tree planting experience that students will find interest and fun. The cost is $5.00 per person with two free passes for each class.* A snack is available for $1.50 per person. There is a $80.00 minimum for all tours. Tours are available Monday thru Friday. The guided tour lasts 1 1/2 hours, but guests are welcome to explore the farm, self-guided, afterwards.
